Fine for a white-red-white flag

Activists Mikhail Narushevich and Dzmitry Pshennik, who were detained in Minsk on March 25, were tried in the Pershamaiski district court.

The young men tried to hang out a national white-red-white flag, Viasna human rights centre reports.

Judge Yury Harbatouski found them guilty of organizing an unauthorized mass event and fined each 70,000 Belarusian rubles.

The activists spent the night in a detention centre in Akrestsin Street.
