Alyaksandr Lukashenka said about the necessity to continue preparation for the 2014 Ice Hockey World Championship and the “parliamentary election”.

“We need to prepare for the sporting event in a proper way,” Lukashenka underlined when hearing the reports by chairs of the Minsk region and city executive committees Barys Batura and Mikalai Ladutska on Monday.

Lukashenka also raised a question of creating the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park, which faced “too much talks and speculations about”.

“We must not hide something from ordinary people or offend them to say nothing of infringing their rights. We have enough space to develop this industrial park,” the Belarusian ruler said.

“I know you'd like to have a powerful corporation in the Minsk region, but you should explain to people the current situation. You should solve any questions that may arise. I emphasize again: We have all necessary things for it,” Lukashenka told Barys Batura, the Minsk region governor.

Lukashenka also called on the governors to seriously prepare for the “parliamentary election”.

“Just like representatives of previous regions you should be concerned that we have about six months left before the parliamentary elections. We should take serious decisions in order to properly prepare for these parliamentary elections so that we don’t feel shame before the people,” Lukashenka said.
