  • 12.04.2012, 14:34

The incident occurs on April 6.

“My car was stopped by road police in Minsk. They ordered to follow them to the Tsentralny district police department for an identification check. They suspected me of being involved in a fight and document forgery. On the ground of the latter suspicion, they took my passport and iPad,” Alyaksei Pikulik, the director of BISS (Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies) told BelaPAN.

“Police told me my passport could be forged and took him for an expert examination. The procedure usually lasts for three days. I went to police on April 9, but learned nothing new about my passport. They did not give me information concerning the time of return of the things seized for an expert examination,” Pikulik said.

He noted he is intended to complain at police officers. “I will consult with a lawyer about the date and venue,” Pikulik said.
