Lukashenka to address people of Belarus and “parliament” later

Lukashenka's address to the people of Belarus and the “house of representatives” scheduled for April 19 has been postponed.
As BelTA news agency learned from head of Lukashenka's press service, Pavel Lyohki, the head of state dismissed the draft document prepared by the state bodies and sent it for finalization.
Lukashenka ordered to revise some parts of his speech regarding state property privatization and the country’s foreign policy.
He instructed to pay attention to a number of principled points in the Address: avoid excessive liberality in the state property sales, unacceptability of so-called mass privatization, compulsory and universal protection of the interests of workers and ordinary citizens of Belarus during possible privatization of companies.
As for the part concerning foreign policy, Lukashenka raised his voice against too rigid measures to respond to the to the problems in Belarus’s relations with its partners.
