Rector of Physiology Institute threatens student with reprisal

Postgraduate student Alyaksei Paulouski demands to bring the rector of the Institute of Physiology to responsibility for persecution. The young man has already filed a complaint to police.

Alyaksei claims the rector of the Institute of Physiology, Iosif Zalutski, made a slanderous statement about his conduct before the Academic Council and threatens the student with expulsion and using physical force against him. Besides, he constantly insults the post-graduate student, Euroradio reports.

Paulouski met pressure after his complaint to the Ministry of Education and Lukashenka Administration. He and other postgraduates were not given promised rooms in a residence hall. Paulouski was expelled from the postgraduate programme. Alyaksei managed to get readmitted to the institute through court. However, he still does have a room in a residence hall.
