Department of journalism’s students complain about charter97.org website blocking (Photo)

Access to charter97.org website is blocked in the Institute of Journalism of the Belarusian State University.

Access to charter97.org website is blocked for future journalists. It has been written in a twitter by @SoulBLR user. However, it is open for many other independent websites, he noted.

While attempting to view the website, users are redirected to the page with a logo of the Belarusian National Academy of Science network and information that the required address is blocked.

We remind that “a black list” of websites access to which is blocked at the educational institutions, official institutions, and firms controlled by the state, is currently used in Belarus.

According to the State Inspectorate on Electric communication, this list includes oppositional websites, for instance charter97.org.
