Valyantina Alinevich received 3 letters from her son, political prisoner Ihar Alinevich.
Ihar is happy Andrei Sannikov and Zmitser Bandarenka were released and sends his best regards to them and their families, the website of the United Civil Party reports.
“It's good news and great joy. I cannot but write about it. Sannikov and Bandarenka are said to have finally been released. Of course, my best wishes go to Andrei and Iryna and to Zmitser and Volha. At least one good thing in this chain of nightmares! I hope they are fine.
Everything is all right with me. Mood is good, spirit is high. I heard bird call recently. Real hawks were hunting pigeons! A fascinating scene! But pigeons are quicker. An encouraging example from nature,” the political prisoner writes.
We remind Ihar Alinevich was arrested on November 29, 2010. On May 27, 2011, the Zavadski district court of Minsk sentenced him to 8 years in a medium security penal facility over part 2 of article 339, parts 2 and 3 of article 218 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (large-scale damage to property in a dangerous way). He serves his sentence in penal colony No. 10 in Navapolatsk.
