Andrei Shyshkin, the editor-in-chief of Rahachou-based newspaper Svabonaya Slova, is going to dismiss journalist Syarhei Serhiyenka.

The journalist received numerous warnings he would be dismissed if he didn't stop to express his active citizenship and write “wrong” texts. We remind Serhiyenka often raises problems of town's recreation zones, dumps hazardous for people and high food prices, zapraudu.info reports.

On June 18, the journalist was called to Shyshkin, who wanted him to sign an order for dismissal from July 2. The official reason is alleged absence from work from 10:00 to 17:00.

The newspaper's staff say it is not true, moreover Shyshkin was on a business trip on that day and did not appear in the office.

Shyshkin refused to give the journalist a copy of the dismissal order. Serhiyenka wants to go to court.
