Lukashenka: Olympics lag behind our Slavonic Bazaar

Alyaksandr Lukashenka called the Olympic Games a politicized event with a great number of problems.

He made this statement today opening the 21st International Arts Festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA reports.

The head of state compared Slavonic Bazaar to the Olympics: “The Olympics Games lag behind our Slavonic Bazaar. They are politicized and have a large number of problems, while Slavonic Bazaar is an island of freethinking and independence. One can learn a lot from our Slavonic Bazaar.”
