An activist of European Belarus civil campaign is accused of disorderly conduct and delivering stickers.

An administrative case against Andrei Molchan will be heard by the Pershamaiski district court. The activist was detained on the night of July 14 in Uruchcha city district.

Andrei Molchan's friends say he was beaten by police after the detention. Stickers “No to death penalty” were found in his bag. He spent the weekend in a detention centre in Akrestin Street.

The website charter97.org reported that the Pershamaiski district court of Minsk issued a 800,000 ruble fine to Molchan for a national white-red-white flag he raised in Uruchcha on May 19 to show his solidarity with political prisoner Syarhei Kavalenka>/b. He was detained and brutally beaten up by policemen.
