Strict regime has been extended for Statkevich for an indefinite period

The lawyer of the political prisoner met with him in the Mogilev prison.

According to his wife Marina Adamovich, Mikalai Statkevich was released from the punishment room, but kept under the strict regime, informs "Radio Svaboda”.

The political prisoner went out from the punishment cell on Monday, July 16. He was immediately informed that the strict prison regime has been prolonged for an indefinite period. Statkevich was under the strict regime for six months. He could be transferred to normal, but he wasn’t.

For events of December 19, 2010 ex-presidential candidate was sentenced for to 6 years in prison. Since 2012 the regime of detention for the political prisoner changed from colony to a covered prison.
