Anton Surapin's mother receives letter from son.

His parents in Slutsk have received the letter. Anton thanked them for the parcel and sent his regards to all his relatives and photo journalists "he made reports with", informs the website of the Belarusian Association of Journalists. "Long live Belarusian independent journalism," - said he in short letter.

As charter97.org reported, Anton Surapin was detained on July 13. He is suspected of assisting a group of people to cross the Belarusian border illegally. The journalist was one of the first people to have published photos of the Swedish teddy bears. Surapin's 10-day term of detention ended on July 23 but they guy was not accused of anything. He is still in KGB prison.
