Statkevich was promised to not beat out a petition for clemency

Former presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich insisted that the administration of Mogilev prison gave him a promise to not offer him to write a petition for clemency anymore.
This was reported by the website statkevich.org with reference to the wife of the political prisoner Marina Adamovich.
Statkevich was released after 10 days in a punishment cell, and the prison commission has refused to change his strict regime of detention to normal.
- And who would doubt, - said the politician. - However, there is another aspect - a very stereotypical way of thinking: if one of the "political people" has written a "request", being in the punishment cell, one must be put the rest there, maybe they will write it too. But people are different, situations are different, responsibilities are different. I have the most of it, considering my "candidacy". I do not blame any of those who "asked", I ask everyone to not condemn them, I'll be very glad if they are going to be released, but I don’t have the right to "ask" for myself. And neither punishment cells nor strict regimes will change this. – writes Statkevich from prison.
"He also insisted - said Marina Adamovich - that the prison administration gave him the promise to "never again did not even talk about the "clemency"”, because "First, my position is known and I'm not going to change it. Second, it is a bad sign for me, because every time I refuse to "ask" for clemency, problems start to happen with handkerchiefs, tags, neighbors, and so on"”.
In addition, the politician said that the district commissions from Mogilev send refusals to registration of his initiative groups directly to jail, flagrantly violating the requirements of the law about the date, required for appeals against the decisions.
Recall, on May 26, 2011 Mikalai Statkevich was sentenced to six years imprisonment in a colony of strict regime for his participation in the protest. On January 12, 2012 at the initiative of the administration of the colony, which believes that Statkevich intends "to continue a criminal lifestyle", admitted him a malicious violator of the regime. As a result, the conditions for Mikalai Statkevich have been tightened in the judicial order for the next three years with no right of appeal.
