The results are disappointing, all of this will be subject to separate serious conversation, said the dictator.
Aliaxandar Lukashenka expresses the need to recognize mistakes, committed during training of the athletes and their performance at the Olympics in London in order not to repeat them in the future.
"There are Olympics in Sochi and Rio de Janeiro waiting for us. One need to find courage to admit mistakes, to take into account gained experience, and with perseverance, dedication work for the result", - said Aliaxandar Lukashenka on Tuesday in Minsk at a meeting with champions and winners of the Summer Olympic Games in London, writes "Interfax".
The governor said that "some of the tasks assigned to our team, were not fulfilled". "Unfortunately, not all were able to cope with stress, determined to win in a hard struggle with rivals. Quite frank, some were not prepared to perform at the Olympic Games at all", - said Aliaxandar Lukashenka.
"Compared to the previous Olympics, we rolled down in the medal standings. In particular sports results are just depressing", - said Lukashenka. "All this will be a subject to a separate serious conversation after a detailed analysis of the performance of our Olympians", - he said.
However, the ruler thanked the champions and Olympic medalists for the fact that "Belarus in London was represented at the highest level". "In conditions of severe competition, often of dubious refereeing bias by some international sports officials, you, nevertheless, showed high professionalism and, of course, the will to win," - he said.
