The policeman smuggled cigarettes to Lithuania.

The former chief of Vilnius police Erikas Kaliacius once again got problems with the law; this time the customs charge him with smuggling cigarettes from Belarus to Lithuania.

The Vilnius customs found 447 cigarette packs in the former police chief’s VW Toureg. Kaliacius imported the cigarettes to Lithuania from Belarus on 17 July at about 11:40. The smuggled packs were hidden in the cabin and in the trunk under the extra wheel, as delfi.lt reports.

The former chief of Vilnius police became notoriously famous six years ago when it was reported that people from detention were taken to his residence near Vilnius to dig pits, clean the pond, lop trees, cut down shrubs, chop wood and do other jobs.
