There are still dead people in the voting lists

The observers at the polling station 11 in Brest-Eastern constituency came to know about an incident, when a woman who died eight years ago was included in a voting list.

An old man was very indignant by the fact that his wife, whom he buried, still is considered a voter in this constituency, the human rights center “Viasna” reports.

The observers do not rule out that this case may be not the only one and this way the electoral commissions can manipulate the turnout at a polling station.

We would remind that similar cases have been reported about since the very first day of the early voting.
