Parliamentary candidate detained for picketing  in Mahilou

Parliamentary candidate Leanid Padbyarezski was detained by police.

He was not allowed to hold a picket near Krynitsa shopping centre, Radio Svaboda reports.

Policemen said the candidate didn't have permission for a picket. He should apply to the local authorities for carrying our a picket at least 2 days prior the event.

Leanid Padbyarezski is a candidate nominated by the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada). He is also supported by Tell the Truth campaign.
