The leader of international organization Young Front, Zmitser Dashkevich has been placed under 24-hour surveillance in detention facility No.2 in Vitebsk.
This information was received from Young Front deputy head Anastasia Palazhanka, Nasha Niva newspaper writes.
Palazhanka says Dashkevich's lawyer and she visited the detention facility on September 5. “Of course, I did not have access to Dashkevich, but the lawyer saw him,” Palazhanka said.
“I know his is under surveillance 24 hours a day. He is in solitary confinement. If he does what prison guards don't want him to do, he hears “Dashkevich, don't do that' via a public address system,” Palazhanka says.
“The lawyer says this transfer was not as bad as the previous one.
The previous transfer to Vitebsk was awful, with provocations and dirty tricks. We worried about Dashkevich terribly,” Palazhanka said.
She says Dashkevich looks cheerful.
“The only thing that worries us is uncertainty. We don't have any information regarding how long Dashkevich will remain in the Vitebsk detention facility and when and where he will be sent,” Palazhanka said.
