Andrei Dzmitryeu: Our aim is changes

The campaign Popular Referendum will unite Belarusians, a deputy head of Tell the Truth campaign thinks.

“We launch a discussion about the issues to be included in the agenda of the Popular Referendum. The main topics are the country's economic development, social protection of families and restoration of a fair an effective state. We have no doubts: This is what most Belarusians are concerned about,” Andrei Dzmitryeu says.

The politician empahsised that the the Popular Referendum was transparent and open for all democratic forces.

“Preparing the agenda for the Referendum will be an open process that will unite us. Every citizen must have the right to propose his or her ideas. Of course, we will have expert discussions. I officially invite everyone to join the process to get the agenda ready by September, so that we could make further steps,” Andrei Dzmitryeu says.

“The next step is to form the Civil Committee of the Popular Referendum that will unite the people wanting fundamental changes in Belarus. At the first stage, it will include representatives of Tell the Truth campaign, the Movement for Freedom and the BPF party. It is the first time we have launched a single campaign for the local, presidential and parliamentary elections. Elections are a method. Our aim is changes,” Dzmitryeu says.
