Leanid Zaika: Lukashenka Is Flashing His Torch From Bottom Of Pit

The outcome of the dictator’s economic “policy.”
Leanid Zaika, head of the Strategy Analytical Center, spoke about the economic state of Belarus in 2018 in an interview to primus.by:
– I would not single out this year. However, 100 years since the end of the First World War is the date. It is perhaps more important than anything else, than everything he did.
And the internal economic life – there was instability, flying around, some meaningless meetings of Lukashenka with the core group. I would not even call it an imitation of violent activity. That was a road to a dead end. Lukashenka does not want to go there alone.
He goes there in formation. To the wailing wall, so to speak. And they are harassed. They dropped everything in 2015. After 2014, 40% of GDP is in the red. And now, when all this has failed, they walk along the bottom of this pit, flashing their torches. They must get out somehow, but instead they are reflecting on the fact that the batteries are low.
