Two months ago, his influential mother went to the colony for bribes.
During the rotation, Pershamaiski district court judge Siarhei Bandarenka, who in 2011 delivered a politically motivated sentence to human rights activist Ales Bialiatski and subsequently fell under European sanctions, lost his position, nn.by writes.
According to the decree of Lukashenka, Bandarenka and another 16 judges were dismissed due to the retirement, expiration of the term of office or on their own will.
The Lame demon telegram channel claims that the true reason was the criminal history of his mother, Tamara Bandarenka, who was deputy director of the Republican Center for Health and Sanatorium-resort treatment.
At the end of 2018, BelGazeta reported on the circumstances of Tamara Bandarenka’s trial. She was tried for bribery along with the head doctor of the Silver Springs sanatorium Liudzmila Sonets.
“58-year-old Bandarenka accepted bribes from the leadership of the Belarusian sanatoriums for a favorable resolution of issues within her competence – the purchase of vouchers and their distribution to organizations, and the safe passing of planned certification of institutions,” the publication says.
She received as a bribe the opportunity to stay in a sanatorium in a superior room for 420 days and lived there.
As a result, Tamara Bandarenka, deputy director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Spa Treatment, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison, and fined 350 basic units.
Journalists contacted former judge Siarhei Bandarenka to clarify information about the reasons for his dismissal.
“I do not want to comment. This is my decision, I’ve made that decision,” – he replied. On whether his mother’s story is related to his own dismissal, Bandarenka also does not answer: “I don’t want to discuss my private affairs with strangers.”
