Ivan Marozau thanked the Belarusians for the support of his wife.

Volha Khizhynkova's husband, Ivan Marozau, thanked people for the support of his wife.

"Friends, we, those close to Olya, are infinitely grateful for the support that you have been providing to all of us for the second month already. It is happiness to know that there are so many good, honest, and kind people around who are ready to support in difficult times.

Unfortunately, we still don't know the exact release date for Olya. But we would like to make a request in advance to everyone who is not indifferent to her situation. We really want Olya's meeting not to be a mass event. Only the closest ones will be there.

This is important both for your safety (no one knows how Akrestsina Street employees will react to the crowd of people at the entrance) and for the moral comfort of Volha, who has been in prison for over a month.

There is a separate request to journalists. We really respect your work. Please do not ask for comments or interviews. Volha is a kind and open-minded person. Give her the opportunity to come to her senses and recover.

We really hope for your understanding. Knowing Olya, it is safe to say that later she will want to meet with everyone who supported her so much. And also - all your letters, gifts, and other signs of attention - will definitely reach the addressee. Thank you very much, wonderful people!" Marozau wrote.

Let us remind you that Volha Khizhynkova was detained on November 8 during a protest action; three days later, she was sentenced to 12 days of arrest.

A day later, she was tried under the same article 23.34 of the Administrative Code (Violation of the order of organizing or holding mass events) for the second episode and added another 15 days. Soon, the third trial took place over Khizhynkova, at which she was punished for another 15 days.

At the same time, Volha is being held in terrible conditions, which were described in detail by the tut.by journalist Aliaksandr Kvitkevich, who spent 10 days with her in the same cell.
