Are Authorities Scared Of Ded Moroz Procession?

The authorities see the white-red-white flag everywhere.

In December and early January, more than a hundred New Year's events are scheduled in Minsk. However, there will be no traditional Ded Moroz parade. At least it is not in the official schedule of events, posted on the site of Minsk city executive committee.

Apparently, the procession has been canceled "due to the difficult epidemiological situation".

However, "New Year's carousel" will be held on Freedom Square from December 26 to January 2 (beginning at 17:00 and 20:00). A "Winter Concert" will be held on New Year's Eve in Kastrychnitskaya Square, which will also continue in the evening on January 1 and 2.

As Charter97.org has previously written, in Sharkaushchyna, they changed the red-and-white coat of Ded Moroz for the blue one. Most likely, the authorities got scared of thousands of Minsk citizens in the center of Minsk, dressed in white and red clothes.
