The famous basketball player spoke on behalf of thousands of Belarusian women.

Well-known Belarusian basketball player Alena Leuchanka, commenting on the report of human rights activists on torture against women in Belarus after the elections, told about her information.

The International Committee for the Investigation of Torture in Belarus has prepared the third interim report on the use of torture, cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment of women. Human rights activists analyzed the period from August last year to February this year.

"Don't tell me and the people your lies that there was no violence! I experienced it myself, as well as thousands of Belarusian women who have been in prison! And the kick with insults, which my cellmate and I received - I will never forget it! I remember their faces, I know their names, surnames, and even more," Leuchanka wrote in the Instagram story, Tribuna reports.

Alena also commented on the words of journalist Anisia Kazliuk, who, after being in the Zhodzina pre-trial detention center, talked about her deteriorating health and that the CIP officers turned off the heating in the cells.

"Everything is possible. There are taps near each cell, which they open and close whenever they want. They also control the switching on and off of water and sewage. As Comrade Shapetska himself told me (head of the CIP Yauhen Shapetska - ed.): "This is done so that you no longer want to return here." But they speak beautifully. They can do everything for BT," Leuchanka said.
