One can only envy Dzmitry Salahub's persistence.
We have already told you the story of the Belarusian who single-handedly pushed out a stuck bus in Warsaw. In just a day, this video went viral in the Polish Internet segment. All the leading Polish media wrote about our tenacious countryman, a huge number of memes appeared, and the hero of the video became a true favorite of the social networks.
The Charter97.org website found the hero of the video - his name is Dzmitry Salahub. He told us that he studies web-design courses in Warsaw and works as an animator in a polar bear costume at weekends. It was in this costume that he went to a refugee camp where he performed for Belarusian children.
"I am looking for a job and an apartment, but due to the events that happened, there are so many people ready to help, that all these problems will soon be solved," - Dzmitry told us.
On the day the well-known video appeared, Dzmitry was helping his friend to get to the hostel:
- Our bus got caught in a traffic jam, we were standing for about 15 minutes. The doors opened and I got out, walked maybe a kilometer and saw a bus that couldn't make it to the hill. I decided to push it, because it seemed to me that it needed a little bit of pushing to get there. I started pushing and then the journalist showed up. It so happened that we were pushing together, and then I moved on. I didn't even expect it to be live, at that point I didn't even realize it. I thought that someday I would watch something. That usually happens, because there are a lot of people who film me in different roles, let's just say, but I rarely get to watch that. Well, I did now. I'm still smiling at the comments.
Let's add that after Dzmitry became famous, a language school gave him a free Polish language course.
- They just watched the video and probably laughed a little bit at it. So they decided to offer the course as a gift, charity is the best advertisement for their school.
