Russia intends to defend her rights.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia is ready to defend the Russian citizen Sophia Sapega, detained in Belarus, if they infringe on her rights, First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Buksman told reporters, TASS reports.

"Naturally. If we are talking about a Russian citizen, then wherever her rights are infringed, the state will protect the rights of a Russian citizen everywhere," Buksman told reporters, answering the question of whether the Prosecutor General's Office is ready to defend the rights of Russian citizen Sofia Sapega.

The Ryanair plane flying from Athens to Vilnius on May 23 urgently landed at the Minsk airport due to a message about mining. As it turned out later, the message turned out to be false. Belarusian human rights activists reported that Raman Pratasevich, founder of the Nexta Telegram channel, flew this plane. 23-years old Sofia Sapega was detained in Minsk together with Raman Pratasevich after an emergency landing of a Ryanair plane in Minsk.
