Liavon Volski: Authorities Made Mistakes That Can't Be Corrected

People in power have become very far from the population.

The authorities in Belarus have made irreversible steps this time. They have made mistakes which cannot be corrected. That's how legendary Belarusian musician Liavon Volski assesses the situation for Radio Racyja:

"In the past, the curve used to draw us somewhere, strange as it may seem. First, a terrorist attack in New York, then an earthquake, then a war near the border. And then it started with the coronavirus, and then it moved on - one mistake, then another, then a third one.

It seems to me that those in power have finally lost touch with the people".

Volski confesses that he is always optimistic about the situation in Belarus.

"20 years is nothing for history", he says.
