Battle Map: Ukraine’s Armed Forces Enter Kherson

This is how the liberation of the city and the mop-up operation of the Dnieper right bank went.
The occupation of the Right Bank of the Kherson region, which lasted 254 long days, is coming to an end. The Armed Forces of Ukraine entered Beryslav and Chornobaivka, and the Russians, retreating, blew up the Antonivka bridge behind them, espreso.tv reports.
On November 9, under fierce pressure from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russian occupation troops began to leave the first line of defense, which they had tried to build a month ago after a large-scale withdrawal from the north-west of the Kherson region. Since November 5, the missile troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed 120 military bases and warehouses, most of them on both banks of the Dnieper in the Kherson region. This significantly accelerated the decision of the invaders to retreat.
It is obvious that the Russians’ decision to go away from the Right Bank of the Kherson region was made a few weeks ago, and all this time the enemy has been preparing for its implementation. One of the main motives for flight is the preservation of a combat-ready army. After all, it was in the Kherson region that there was the largest concentration of enemy paratroopers. In the event of total destruction, the Russian army would not be able to recover from such a blow in the near future.
On November 8, the Ukrainian army entered the strategically important city of Snihurivka, and on November 9 they recaptured it from the enemy. After that, the Russians ran en masse to the second line of defense, which went along the border of Beryslav-Vysokoe-Oleksandrivka-the Kherson-Bilozerka ring road. They blew up all possible bridges behind them. Thus, the bridges in the floodplains of the Dnieper in Mylove, Novokairy and Tyahinets, as well as about a dozen bridges on the Inhulets river, including the railway and automobile ones in Daryivka, located on the way between Kherson and Beryslav, flew into the air. Retreating, the Russians mined everything that they could mine, and therefore the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was not as swift as it would have been. Despite this, on November 9-10, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, liberating our lands, advanced more than two dozen kilometers and reached the second line of defense, and in some places even broke through it. In particular, advancing from the west, our troops entered the suburbs of Kherson and liberated Chornobayivka, which is 8 km from the central part of the city. At the same time, Ukrainian artillery and aviation destroyed the fleeing Muscovites to the maximum, firing both at the moving columns and the crossings. In particular, crossings in Lvove, Olhivka, Kozatsky and a pontoon crossing under the Antonivka bridge were destroyed. Also, the shells caught up with the fugitives in their places of accumulation on the Left Bank, in Oleshki and Nova Kakhovka.
Late in the evening of November 10, it became clear that the invaders' plan for an organized retreat had failed. The house of cards of their defense collapsed, and the Russians began to flee in panic, leaving a large number of their troops in numerous encirclements, including all the infantry that did not fit into the vehicles. They were abandoned to their fate. According to tentative data, only half of the 20,000 Russians who were on the Right Bank managed to evacuate. Others are now either mindlessly resisting or trying to hide by dressing in civilian clothes. Fleeing, the Russians have blown up two spans of the Antonivka bridge behind them, so there is no way for the rest to escape.
On November 11, the Ukrainian flag was hoisted in Kherson, but it will take several more days to completely clear the liberated land from the occupiers, without taking into account the mine clearance work. At the same time, Kherson will become a frontline city, and the Russian Nazis will methodically destroy it with their artillery.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian artillery is taking fire control of all routes from the Crimea to the north, and there is no safe place for the enemy in the Left-bank Kherson region. A new stage of the liberation of the South of Ukraine has begun.
