The story of their liberation is worth making a film about it.
Ukrainian reconnaissance marines managed to return to Ukrainian-controlled territory by organizing their escape from captivity, MP Ihor Kopytin writes on Facebook.
"I will reveal some details of the salvation of the reconnaissance marines, who recently managed to return from Russian captivity. I met with them as a representative of the Coordinating Headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war. The story of their release is worth making a film about. The guys were captured by Russian occupants during combat operations. They were being held on the territory of Ukraine that was not under our control. The Navy and Marine Corps Command learned about this and decided to plan an operation to rescue guys . We always try to save our people. As a result, we managed to organize their escape from captivity and then transport them to Ukrainian-controlled territory. Now the guys are safe," the MP said.
The "cyborg" and Azovstal defender Artem Dyblenko, who recently returned from enemy captivity, participated in the operation to liberate the Marines.
On Saturday, the AFU Navy reported that more than a week ago, as a result of measures led by the Navy, "three servicemen of a separate battalion of marines were liberated from the occupied territory."
