New Sentence For Guitarist Of Krambambulia, Pomidor/Off Bands

Uladzislau Pliushchau is already serving two years in a colony.

The court of the Frunzenski district of Minsk considered a new case of the guitarist of the bands Krambambulia and Pomidor / off Uladzislau Pliushchau, who was charged under three articles of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of 9,600 rubles, taking into account the previous sentence, according to the Viasna human rights center.

In August, Pliushchau was already tried under two articles of the Criminal Code: Article 188 (Slander) and Article 369 (Insulting a representative of the authorities). Then the court sentenced the musician to 2 years in a penal colony, confiscation of the car and a fine of 6,400 rubles.

This time the guitarist was tried under three criminal articles: Article 188 (Slander), Article 369 (Insulting a representative of the authorities), and Article 179 (Illegal collection or dissemination of information about private life).

Taking into account the previous sentence, he was sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of 300 base fees (9,600 rubles), which was exactly what the prosecution requested.

Human rights activists recognized the musician as a political prisoner.

Uladzislau Pliushchau played in the bands Krambambulia, ZET, Pomidor/off and Hasta la Fillsta.
