The Kremlin wants to replace them with Iranian missiles.

While striking Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, Russia used about 80% of its modern missiles. This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky in a commentary to The Economist, published on November 7.

According to Skibitsky, Russia has only 120 Iskanders left. According to other sources, the number of Kinzhalsnis about 40. However, the military intelligence of Ukraine became aware of the Kremlin's plans to acquire Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar ballistic missiles from Iran and send them by air to the Crimea and by sea to Russian ports on the Caspian Sea. “We know that agreements have already been reached,” he said.

Now more than ever, Ukraine needs weapons capable of shooting down ballistic missiles like the US Patriot system, Ukrainian authorities say. They also need longer-range missiles, such as the US ATACMS, which they hope to use to strike command centers hundreds of miles behind enemy lines.

The US refused to provide ATACMS out of fear that it could be used against targets in Russia.
