Vladimir Putin and Aliaksandr Lukashenka will meet on February 18. According to the press service of the Kremlin, the meeting will be held in Moscow.

"It is planned to discuss issues of further development of Russian-Belarusian relations, strategic partnership and alliance, as well as urgent problems of European security," said the press service of the Russian president.

Earlier Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the meeting will be held until the end of the week.

However, he would not comment on the withdrawal of Russian troops from Belarus.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's wait for the meeting. We hope the two presidents will also make statements following their talks," he said in response to a related question.

We remind you that the meeting was announced by Lukashenka. According to him, they will discuss the withdrawal of the Russian troops after the exercise "Union Resolute - 2022".

The previous meeting between Putin and Lukashenka was held in St Petersburg on December 29 last year.
