Israel Denied Service to Belavia

The company has lost one of the most popular routes.

Israel has denied services to Belarusian airlines. Flights from Minsk to Tel Aviv have been canceled, according to the airline's website.

"Aviation authorities of Israel denied Belavia service at Ben Gurion airport. The airline has to cancel its previously scheduled flights to Tel Aviv. Israel announced its decision, despite the fact that initially, May 15, 2022, an official permit was issued for the flights and approved the program of flights on a new schedule (with a technical landing in Baku)," the statement said.

"Based on the permit issued, the airline began selling tickets for the new flights. The first flight was scheduled for June 2. The sudden decision of the Israeli side to cancel the previous arrangements is surprising," airline CEO Igor Cherginets said.

He emphasizes the flights were canceled due to a unilateral decision of the Israeli side.

Due to Israel's refusal, the airline company has to cancel all the planned flights until the end of the summer season, October 27, 2022, the statement said.

The airline is ready to refund money to passengers who purchased tickets to Tel Aviv.

"Belavia has been operating regular flights from Minsk to Tel Aviv since 1996. It is noted that it was one of the most popular routes.
