Heavy Fighting in the East and South of Ukraine

Russian troops were defeated near Horlivka.
The AFU General Staff told about the operational situation on the fronts as of the beginning of the 70th day of the confrontation with Russia's invasion. The enemy continues offensives in the eastern operation zone to establish complete control over Donbas and retain a land corridor with Crimea.

To destroy the transport infrastructure of Ukraine, the enemy carried out missile strikes on facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Zakarpattya, Odesa and Donetsk regions.
The enemy did not conduct active operations in the Volyn and Polissya directions; no signs of offensive groups were detected there.
Certain units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to cover the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in the Brest and Homel regions.
One missile division from the 465th missile brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus is moving from its point of permanent deployment to a destination to verify its readiness to carry out tasks as intended.
No signs of enemy offensive formation were found in the Seversk direction. Units of the Russian Armed Forces from the Central Military District are deployed at the Novye Yurkovichi, Pogar and Lomakovka checkpoints in the Bryansk region as part of the strengthening of the protection of the Russian-Ukrainian border.
In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy shelled Kharkiv and the settlement of Protopopovka with artillery and mortars. The enemy carried out aerial reconnaissance near the settlements of Kutuzovka and Aleksandrivka, Barvenkov district, the Kharkiv region. The enemy attempted to conduct offensive operations in the direction of the Dolgenkoye settlement, with no success.
In the Donetsk and Tavrichesk directions, to hinder actions, the occupiers carry out shelling of units of the Ukrainian troops.
In the Liman direction, the enemy holds an offensive in the direction of the village of Shandrigolovo; combat operations continue. The enemy strengthens its grouping of troops and intensified air reconnaissance.
The occupiers launched an assault in the area of Popasna; the fighting continues.
In Mariupol, the Russian occupiers continue airstrikes and fire attacks against our positions near Azovstal.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy carried out attacks in the direction of the Orekhov settlement, with no success.
In Horlivka, more than 100 bodies of mobilized Russian soldiers of the 1st Army Corps killed in the Zaporizhzhia region were taken to the central morgue.
In the South Bug direction, the enemy used artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and a tank along the entire line of contact to destroy the fortification equipment of our positions. It intensified combat operations near the village of Tomina Balka.
In the Bessarabia direction, the situation remains tense and controlled.
During the previous day, air defence units of the Air Force and Ground Forces hit 7 UAVs and eight enemy cruise missiles; the data is being verified.
In the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, twelve enemy attacks were repelled, six tanks, five artillery systems (three of them - multiple rocket launchers), 15 units of armoured fighting vehicles and nine units of the enemy vehicles were destroyed. The enemy also suffered losses in other directions.
