Real Or Doppelganger: Political Scientist Explains Putin's Strange Behavior

  • 27.07.2022, 12:53

The dictator has had bouts of paranoia and irrational decision-making.

Putin has long been demonstrating paranoid behaviour. At the same time, political scientist Vladimir Fesenko is cautious about such conclusions, because it would be rather reckless to rely on doppelgangers at meetings with authoritative world leaders, TSN reports.

"I'm a bit cautious about the information on doppelgangers of Putin. It's not about just showing presence, after all. Nobody can say whether Putin was real or not making a speech at the stadium. But meetings with Erdogan, with the Iranian leadership are live meetings, during which one has to conduct real negotiations with very challenging leaders. It would be risky to rely on a doppelganger here", Fesenko said.

Therefore, the expert notes that he would not reject the possibility of Putin having look-alikes, but for now "we will have to deal with the real Putin".

Moreover, Fesenko noted that even the Western intelligence services cannot solve the mystery of Putin's personality. For the contradictions of his nature, his behaviour is the main problem.

"Sometimes the dictator acts quite rationally, and sometimes he has bouts of paranoia and irrational decisions, as Stalin once did. When and how, with which Putin one has to deal is the main problem, and sometimes it is a mystery even for Western intelligence agencies," the political scientist added.

Putin's Strange Behaviour in Public: What Is Known

During his recent trip to Iran, Putin once again behaved somewhat strangely. The dictator's strange behaviour may indicate either a sick condition or, as some experts have suggested, a doppelganger.

Earlier, social media joked about the strange pose Putin took during a meeting with Defence Minister Shoigu. The 69-year-old dictator president did indeed look strange - his hands tightened on the table, and everyone started talking about Putin's mysterious illness.
