Owner Of Minsk Moulin Rouge Club Detained

A “repentant” video appeared on pro-government Telegram channels featuring a detained businessman, owner of the Minsk Moulin Rouge club Bakhshi Ganbarov. According to the security forces, he supported the protesting MTZ factory workers in 2020, writes zerkalo.io.

In the “repentant” video, the businessman says that he was detained by police officers, not giving any specific information under which article.

Also shown is an excerpt from the video with the participation of the detainee, which was filmed at the Minsk Tractor Plant in 2020, at a time when there were protests near the entrance of the plant. There, a businessman stands against the backdrop of protesters and calls for “hearing your people”.

The video of the law-enforcers shows a photo of the 2020 presidential election ballot with a checkmark next to Tsikhanouskaya’s name, and a screenshot of a Telegram chat where the detainee spoke approvingly of Azerbaijan’s assistance to Ukraine in the war with Russia.

It is reported that the detainee Bakhshi Ganbarov is an activist of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Belarus. He is 55 years old, he came to Minsk in 1984, more than 10 years ago he opened the Moulin Rouge club on Kalvaryjskaya Street.
