'They Are Still Pulling Them From Rubble': Wife Of Mobilized Soldier Speakes About Crushing Defeat In Makiivka

Four shells hit the voc-tech school.

Dmitry Azarov, a serviceman from the Samara region, was among the mobilized soldiers who died in the occupied Makiivka, Donetsk region, according to the governor of the region. Relatives of two mobilized who came under fire confirmed this information to the Important Stories news publisher.

One of the sources, whose mobilized husband was in the Makiivka voc-tech school, said that he managed to run out of the building after the first shell hit there, and there were four hits in total. According to her, soldiers of two regiments, the 44th and 45th, were in the voc-tech school.

The woman claims that the information about 63 dead provided by the Russian Ministry of Defence is incorrect, “Many more died. They are still pulling them from the rubble." “As soon as they arrived there, shells immediately began to fall nearby. Maybe the locals [spotted their location]. Locals were so mad at the soldiers,” she said.

Another woman, whose son was in the voc-tech school, said that the artillerymen managed to escape, “They were in the basement, they managed to run out.” Her son managed to escape because at the time of the strike, he and his platoon were not in the voc-tech school. According to the woman, there were about 400 people in the building, including the platoon that left the voc-tech school.

“We are cleaning our shoes from brains pieces,” another interviewee of the Important Stories quotes the words of her husband, who, after mobilization, appeared in Makiivka. Two more women confirmed that their relatives from the 44th regiment were located in Makiivka, but did not specify whether the men were in the voc-tech school.

Earlier, the website Charter97.org reported the major hits at the school in Makiivka on New Year's Eve, where, according to various sources, up to 600 mobilized from Russia were located.
