'We Heard So Much About 'Finlandization' That We Definitely Must Become EU, NATO Members'

This is a geopolitical inevitability.
Dzmitry Bandarenka, the coordinator of the European Belarus Civil Campaign, gave a lecture on the topic “Geopolitics of Belarus in Modern Conditions” in Warsaw on Saturday, October 7. The opposition politician spoke at a meeting of the open foreign Seim of the Razam Solidarity Movement.
In his lecture, Dzmitry Bandarenka spoke about the concept of the Heartland, voiced by the British geopolitician Halford John Mackinder.
The coordinator of European Belarus believes that in the near future, our country may face the problem of an influx of migrants from Central Asian countries, where a demographic boom has occurred in recent decades. Destabilization of this region could lead to the beginning of a “new great migration of peoples”. Lukashenka today is not the guarantor of the national security of Belarus and cannot resist these processes.
The opposition politician also spoke about the possibility of Russia repeating the fate of the USSR and said that the Belarusian protests had become a geopolitical factor.
“Belarus may have retained its independence and identity thanks to journalists and media. Regarding media, Belarusians read independent sources, especially with the advent of the Internet. Recently I started watching some videos on YouTube. There, in my opinion, we have an advantage over the regime and Russian media,” says Dzmitry Bandarenka.
The expert expressed the opinion that the Euro-Atlantic path is inevitable for Belarus. Dzmitry Bondarenko believes that the concept of the Baltic-Black Sea Union is not a priority for our country: Ukraine is striving to join the EU and NATO. Poland, Lithuania and other countries have already joined these unions. There is also the question of who will finance this education.
Non-bloc status also makes no sense in our time. Finland, which has long been a symbol of neutrality, joined both the EU and the North Atlantic Alliance.
The politician expressed the opinion that after Belarus joins the EU and NATO, it will be possible to participate in regional associations within these unions, including the Baltic-Black Sea Union.
Then Boris David Balte, coordinator of the Razam Solidarity Movement for Israel, spoke via video link. He spoke about the situation in the country, which was attacked by Palestinian terrorists.
The famous Lithuanian expert Stasis Kaushinis and the co-chairman of the Razam Solidarity Movement from Ukraine Ales Makaev spoke via video link.
