100,000 Troops, Thousands Of Tanks: IDF Launches Large-Scale Operation In Gaza Strip

The Israeli army launches a large-scale attack on Hamas targets in Gaza Strip using aircraft. There are already the first results of the strikes. The IDF Press Service reported.

The IDF representative noted that the terrorist targets of the Hamas organization in Gaza Strip came under Israeli airstrikes.

“IDF warplanes recently attacked a number of Hamas terrorist sites throughout the Gaza Strip. Among other things, the aviation attacked military systems and a weapons depot,” the IDF Press Service noted.

The IDF Press Service also reported that the combat control room in Western Jabaliya, which was used by the terrorist organization Hamas to directly lead terrorism against the State of Israel, came under attack.

At the same time, up to 100,000 Israeli troops could enter Gaza. Military expert Julian Röpke from BILD provided this assessment.

According to him, in recent days, Israeli aircraft have hit more than 1,700 targets in Gaza in preparation for the land part of Operation Iron Swords.

In total, about 2 million people live in Gaza, half of them children. Some 100,000 Hamas terrorists are hiding among them.

The IDF warned residents of seven zones in the north and east of the enclave that they should flee as fighting would soon begin there. To encourage them to leave their homes as quickly as possible, Israel imposed a complete blockade of Gaza.

“Israeli military strategists plan for up to 100,000 troops and thousands of tanks and armoured vehicles to enter Gaza. According to observers, this phase of the operation will be the bloodiest one. Not only for Hamas and the IDF but also for the civilians in Gaza,” notes Julian Röpke.

He also added that it is possible that at some point Israel and Egypt will open their borders to allow civilians to leave.
