Israel Reacts Harshly To Article Of Lukashists In 'Minsk Truth'

The masks are off.

Israeli media noticed the publication of the Lukashenka edition of "Minsk Truth", where they called the Hamas attack on Israel a "victory of Moscow and Minsk".

Israeli media compare the behaviour of the Belarusian democratic forces and Lukashenka's regime in the context of the current war between Israel and Hamas, which recently invaded Israel.

"The masks are off. Russia did not express solidarity with Israel over the horrific terrorist attacks and did not condemn Hamas. Instead, Russian propagandists write in a Lukashenka regime publication that for Minsk and Moscow the Palestinian actions are a victory," wrote Israel Hayom (Israel Today), which noted Russia's interest in escalating the conflict in the region.

"The rapid escalation in Israel is in Russia's favour, as it advances its own interests, as it did on the Belarusian-Polish border, Moldova, Donbass and other places. In this case, however, Moscow's goal is to divert the world's attention from Ukraine and reduce the number of arms shipments there," David Baron, head of foreign policy at Israel Hayom newspaper, noted on October 9.

"Whether Israel wants it or not, it now finds itself in the same boat as Ukraine.

And while Putin is trying to revive the Soviet Union, we need to determine our place in this rapidly changing world," Baron concluded.
