Media: Israeli Embassy Employee Attacked In China

The diplomat was hospitalized.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reports that an Israeli embassy employee was allegedly attacked in Beijing, as a result of which he was injured and hospitalized.

According to journalists, the diplomat was attacked “not on the territory of the embassy.”

He was taken to the hospital with a stab wound, the newspaper claims. He is in stable condition. The background to the attack is being clarified.

The foreign ministries of neither Israel nor China have responded to this report.
