This opinion was expressed by reserve officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, military expert Andriy Kramarov in an interview with the website obozrevatel.com. He is confident that when a large-scale operation begins in the Gaza Strip, they will find evidence that the Russians not only knew, but participated in the preparation of a Hamas attack on Israel.

“Accordingly, Russia was expecting this terrorist attack in order to get a change in the focus of attention, primarily from the United States and the West in general, and it was at this moment that they planned to carry out sharp offensive actions in Ukraine, gain at least limited success, and then go to our Western partners, saying “let’s sit down at the negotiating table,” Kramarov explained.

However, firstly, thanks to the courage and skill of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, they did not succeed. And secondly, the United States responded to the situation quite quickly and pragmatically, statements were made about joint assistance to both Israel and Ukraine, the expert noted.

Kramarov added that according to US President Joe Biden, they want to increase aid to Ukraine to 100 billion in 2024. This assistance has two components: support for the macroeconomic stability of Ukraine, and the military assistance itself.

“The first component is 24-28 billion dollars a year, and the rest is military aid. Consequently, it can be increased almost three times. This is a fairly powerful message that the United States is not going to allow its allies to lose the war,” the officer concluded.
