According To Recipes Of Soviet Marshals And Generals

They are smashing a really great number of Russian troops near Avdiivka.

According to statistics from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian losses during the assault on Avdiivka increased significantly - weapons by 40%, and when it comes to enemy manpower - even doubled.

However, this does not stop the Russians from trying to organize new offensives near Avdiivka. Moreover, one can already notice that these fights are taking place according to the classic tactics of the Soviet “marshals of victory” during the Second World War. That is, they are sending waves of Russian conscripts. Ukrainian soldiers who are defending their positions from the Russian offensive smashing one wave after another. Russian generals are simply preparing new waves, without even revising their intentions and positions.

Thus, today it can be stated that the Russian offensive near Avdiivka was defeated, but this does not stop the Russian military command from its intentions to continue offensive operations in this area. Even if there are no real results and a large number of Russian troops will have to be sent to death and Russian weapons will be burned under fire from the defenders of Ukraine near Avdiivka.

Why is the Russian military command so persistent? Obviously, because the leadership of the so-called special military operation is not satisfied with the timing. After all, Vladimir Putin, according to many sources, gave his generals the order to establish full control over the entire territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine by the New Year. From the point of view of the Russian leader, the establishment of such control would allow him to think about reconciliation in the war with Ukraine in the future in order to accumulate new forces to attack the territory of the state he hates and occupy new Ukrainian regions.

Putin still has plans to create the so-called Novorossiya (“New Russia”) in the eastern and southern territories of Ukraine and to establish a puppet government in the Ukrainian capital that would agree to let Ukraine join the so-called Union State of Russia and Belarus. The Russian president is simply willing to put these plans on hold until his army can eventually occupy a significant part of Ukraine and seize Kyiv to put a puppet regime there.

Vladimir Putin needs not only a permanent missile attack on the territories of Ukraine and a fight with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in order to eliminate the mobilization potential. He needs time to accumulate a significant part of the equipment, as well as to mobilize a sufficient number of Russian military personnel for the final decision on the destruction of Ukrainian statehood and the expulsion of Ukrainians from their lands. However, in order for these misanthropic plans to begin to be implemented, Putin needs a truce on his own terms. That is, resolving the issue of cessation of hostilities while simultaneously excluding the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO and providing Ukraine with such guarantees from the United States and other Western countries that would make it impossible for Russia to attack Ukrainian territories in the future.

Putin is really sure that he will be able to reach an agreement with the West on terms that, first of all, will meet the interests of Russia and will not meet the interests of Ukraine. It is for this purpose that he is making efforts to globalize the conflict and, perhaps, we will see new bloody wars in new regions of the world in the near future. However, in any case, even in order to begin negotiations on a truce with Ukraine, the Russian leader needs to demonstrate that the goals of the so-called special military operation have been achieved and stop the military actions of the Russian troops in Ukrainian.

Putin needs to establish control over the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions at least to achieve this. It should be recalled that in February last year, the Russian president recognized the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, invented after the occupation of part of the territory of Donbas in 2014, in their so-called territorial completeness, that is, within the borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

And now, 20 months into this bloody war between Russia and Ukraine, Russian troops have failed to achieve even this formal goal that Vladimir Putin used to justify the start of the war with Ukraine. The Russian president actually doesn’t have much time, because Russian resources are becoming scarcer. It is not so easy to permanently mobilize citizens of the Russian Federation for war with Ukraine.

Not even to mention that the Russian defence industry is not working as quickly as Putin and his associates would like. Ukraine, moreover, is receiving new Western weapons, and ATACMS missiles can significantly reduce the capabilities of the Russian Armed Forces in the fight on Ukrainian soil.

That is why Putin is acting the way Soviet general secretaries have always acted - he is trying to set a task for his generals that they must complete by the holidays. If not until November 7, then until January 1. Of course, Russian generals, as is always the case with generals in authoritarian states, do not think about the real military consequences of their actions. They are merely executing the political task of their incompetent leadership. They are doing it under any conditions and in any situation, which is a path to defeat and significant loss of weapons and manpower for any state. This is what we see near Avdiivka, which has become a symbol of the readiness of the Russian military command to act in this war according to the worst recipes of Soviet marshals and generals.
