Russian Artillery Is Being Torn To Pieces: Ukrainian Armed Forces Create Powerful ‘Fire Fist’

The Ukrainian general revealed the secret of success in counter-battery warfare.

The pillars of modern artillery are maximum automation, digital developments for artillery reconnaissance and automated fire control systems, as well as counter-battery weapons, said Brigadier General Serhiy Baranov, head of the Main Directorate of Missile Forces and Artillery and Unmanned Systems of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military opens fire on Russian artillery in advance, even before the occupier is ready to use artillery. At the same time, Ukrainian systems hit at a greater distance than the Russian one, Military Media Center quotes him.

“Thanks to Western high-precision missile and artillery systems, we have combined and created a long-range “fire fist” that hits so powerfully that the enemy is no longer able to conduct an effective counter-battery fight with us,” the Ukrainian general emphasized.

According to him, success in this is achieved thanks to the training of fighters and the use of new software together with an automated fire control system. The officer also said that sometimes up to 90% of the fire damage to enemy forces and assets falls on the Rocket Forces and artillery.

“The Ukrainian defenders constantly need to come up with new ways and methods of fire destruction, as well as improve weapons and skills. Among the important tasks of the Ukrainian military is to inflict defeat in such a way as not to harm non-military targets,” Baranov added.
