Ukraine Withdraws From Another Agreement With Belarus

Ukraine has terminated the agreement on cooperation between member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the fight against crime in terms of cooperation with Belarus and Russia, reports the representative of the Ukrainian government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.

The agreement was signed in 1998. It involves cooperation between the competent authorities of the parties in the prevention, suppression, identification, disclosure and investigation of crimes, in particular, the execution of requests for operational search activities and investigative actions, the search for persons, the search and return of stolen items, and the exchange of information.
