And he instructed the ambassador to “figure things out.”
Lukashenka expressed dissatisfaction with the policies of the Serbian authorities and demanded a “serious study” of the situation in this country. He gave this instruction on November 20, appointing new ambassadors.
The Belarusian diplomatic mission in Serbia was headed by Siarhei Malinouski. He will also represent the official Minsk in the Republic of North Macedonia.
Lukashenka instructed the new ambassador to “seriously study” the situation in Serbia.
“We need to understand the policy that Serbia is pursuing and wants to pursue in relation to Belarus,” Aliaksandr Lukashenka set the task. “If they want (to cooperate with Belarus — edit.), then there must be a result in trade and economic terms. If they want to wag their tail, roughly speaking, and support European-American sanctions against Belarus, that’s their job, let them define themselves and support them, if they have forgotten the kindness with which we came to them.”
Lukashenka stressed that Malinowski in Serbia “needs to politically figure out what they want.”
“It’s one thing to declare things, but to do something completely different then — nobody needs such a policy. Therefore, we need to figure things out here,” the politician said.
