Youth Ice Hockey Coach Wrote About Zelensky And Was Arrested Following Denunciation

They forced him to make a “repentance” video.

Security forces arrested the Youth ice hockey coach of the Lokomotiv-Orsha hockey club. His “repentant” video was published on December 17 by a telegram channel close to GUBOPiK.

The man said on camera that he trained children born in 2015.

“There was a situation in the social media group for the parents of the children whom I train, (...) I wrote that I preferred the surname Zelensky more and laughed at that. I sincerely apologize. I didn’t mean anything bad in any way,” the coach was forced to say on camera.

The propagandists also showed a screenshot of a comment about which, presumably, the grounds for his arrest:

“I’m not interested in his last name [from the context it can be assumed that he was talking about Lukashenka - Ed.]. Zelensky is a beautiful surname,” such a comment was published in the chat.

Why the coach was detained, what his status is and whether he is currently behind bars is unknown. The propagandists only clarified that they came for him because he “confessed his love for Zelensky,” and also threatened that they would contact the hockey federation about this to “no longer allow him to train.”
