Defence Intelligence: Two Things Make Putin Panic

Ukrainian intelligence has revealed the Kremlin's main failure.
The Kremlin has two main fears. The Russian leadership is especially afraid of a change in the political regime and the possibility of the collapse of the country against the backdrop of the formation of a controlled police state.
Representative of the Defence Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence Vadym Skibitsky spoke about this during the discussion “Ukraine and the world ahead 2024”.
“What are they most afraid of? Very simple, two things. The first is regime change in Moscow. And the second is the fragmentation or collapse of the Russian Federation. Accordingly, in order to preserve this, Russia is pursuing its current policy,” said Vadym Skibitsky.
According to the representative of the Defence Intelligence, the Russian leadership is pursuing a policy aimed at preserving the unity of the country, avoiding internal disagreements and division.
Skibitsky also pointed out that the plans that Putin set for himself regarding the war with Ukraine were not achieved either in 2022 or 2023. These goals are being carried forward to future years because achieving them has proven challenging for the occupiers.
“The goals that Putin set for himself to carry out the so-called “special military operation” were not achieved either in 2022 or 2023. He simply postpones them to next year,” noted Vadym Skibitsky.
According to him, one of Russia’s main tasks in the war against Ukraine remains maintaining control over all temporarily occupied territories and access to the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
