Explosions Heard In Lviv: Infrastructure Damaged, Fire Raging

Russia attacked the city and the region with "Shaheds".

In the morning of Friday, December 29, several explosions were heard in Lviv during an air alert caused by the use of Shahed-type attack UAVs by the Russian occupiers.

About 10 Shaheds were recorded over the entire region, and it is known about the fly-in with a fire at a critical infrastructure facility in the regional centre.

Mayor Andrei Sadovy confirmed the explosions in the city on his channel in Telegram at about 04:50. He noted that there are two fly-ins in the city.

"Lviv. An explosion has been heard in the city. Two more aerial targets are coming up. Everyone stay in shelters!" the message reads.

Later Sadovy indicated that there is information about two fly-ins in Lviv. The special services have left to the place.

At the same time, the head of the Lviv RMA Maksim Kozitsky said that the air defence was working in Lviv. Also, according to him, explosions occurred in Yavoriv district of Lviv region. The air defence was also working there.

The Air Force of the AFU warned about the move of kamikaze attack drones towards Lviv and Lviv region. An air alert at the time was declared in most western regions.

"According to preliminary information, more than 10 "Shaheds" have attacked Lviv region. There is a fire at a critical infrastructure facility in Lviv. No details here. Operational services are working on the spot. There is no information about casualties. I thank the air defence forces for their work!" said Sadovy in the morning.
