Belarusian Defense Ministry Planning 150 'Military Events' With Russia

Colonel Valeryj Revenka, head of the Department for International Military Cooperation - Assistant Minister of Defense for International Military Cooperation, told about the upcoming "Shield of the Union" military exercises.

More than 150 joint events of various orientations are planned.

"Among the central events of operational and combat training, there will be a joint operational exercise of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, Union Shield 2023, which will take place in Russia from 22 to 26 September," Revenka added.

Such large-scale military exercises are usually held once every two years, with their names alternating between "West" and "Union Shield".

Earlier, as the Charter97.org website reported, Lukashenka said that he was ready to fight together with the Russians from the territory of Belarus against Ukraine.
